This is an easy everyday look I put together with some of my closet staples! These black ripped jeans were a little too small so probably best to order about 1 size bigger. They really have the perfect amount of rips and are just the right length.
The Sam Edelman top is actually very soft denim and the loose cut makes it super casual. And my sister's new Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag matched perfectly with my outfit so I had to steal borrow it for the day :) I'm also loving the mini version of the bag--it's just too cute!
What can I say? I love adding a hint of red to an otherwise black and white outfit. The red lips were the cherry on top. I wore this to a lunch date but then brought a pair of converse and high waist denim shorts to change into for more casual activities a little later.
These red pumps are from Ivanka Trump, and if you haven't worn her line of shoes yet, I really recommend you try out a pair the next time you are shopping for heels (I also love her over the knee boots which I wore here and here). They are just soo comfortable. They are perfect for everyday wear and especially great as work shoes since they are easy to walk in and comfy enough to wear for 8+ hours. My sister would wear the 3'' heels to work and she was on her feet for 11+ hours a day
A couple days ago my sister and I spent a beautiful afternoon at Natural Bridges. Natural Bridges is a gorgeous beach within the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary famous for a giant rock formation in the shape of a bridge! During the seasons of spring and fall you can see a lot of different creatures migrating through the area. We had hoped to see some monarch butterflies but alas I think we were too early in the season.

Wore this out the other night.... I just love navy :) The dress is actually jersey and super comfortable but a little short. You would also need to wear a sticky bra with this. Annnnnd I actually died my hair darker so in about three posts you'll see it. Hopefully you like it!
Last week my sister and I shot this look in San Francisco. As comfortable as they are, you can bet I still did not walk around town in these shoes. I loved finding this spot which really matched my look so well. Tomorrow I think I'm going to Monterey. We just had some freak rain come pouring down, so we'll see :)

I shot an early Halloween look for you guys so you have a chance to buy it before Halloween actually arrives! Usually kitty cat costumes are black so I thought this was a sweet change from the norm.
Purple is most definitely my favorite color, and a color I don’t wear enough of. So what better color to get the perfect everyday blouse in? I decided to tuck it into a black leather midi skirt but it also looks great with a moto jacket and skinny jeans. This color is slightly sheer but has still enough coverage that it doesn’t feel risqué. It comes in so many different prints and colors actually, and you guys have a chance to win one! I've had this bag for a long time and I always seem to pair it with burgundy sweater style items, black and the same cognac boots. You can see it in this post and this one too. I especially love how sexy casual this dress is, and it really hugs the body in such a great way. Sweater dresses are a must have for Fall ;)
In a couple of weeks I'll be heading off to Europe with my sister (super excited!), so I'm starting to make a packing checklist. I found some great items on sale (like the Rebecca Minkoff bag 50% off) at Nordstrom while shopping for my trip so I thought I would share my picks (plus, everything is under $200!).
The booties and tall boots are both Franco Sarto, which is one of my favorite brands. All my Franco Sarto shoes that I have owned have been great quality and really comfortable (definitely something I'll need for my shoes when I'm walking everywhere in Europe!). I also found a beautiful lace dress which is very similar the dress that I wore here and here.
Hurry though--I already had two items disappear from my cart while I was shopping!
I hope everyone is having a great start to their week! Here is my last look we shot in Hawaii, as quickly as we could in fact as a storm was fast approaching! We ended up being stuck in our hotel room for about 2 hours after we were done shooting as there were flood warnings, lightning, thunder and well, it was kind of cool. One thing I want to mention about this two piece is that even though the material isn't very breathable I do like the print as it reminds me of Chinese teacups (like this one and this one!).
My third and final look features Buxom Bold Gel Lipstick in Red Inferno, a beautiful blue red. Red lips and LBD's are so classic - put them together for the ultimate effect. Did you know that a red lipstick with a hint of blue actually makes your teeth look more white? Any red lipstick alone will make a look more bold, edgy and/or timeless, depending on the outfit. Buxom actually has eight reds to choose from so everyone should be able to find their perfect shade.
Here is look number two wearing Buxom's Bold Gel Lipstick in Sultry Mauve. What I love most about this subtle color is while it has a hint of purple, it is still great for everyday - even the office. As a general color rule, olive green is well complimented by purple but straight up purple lipstick is not so great! Buxom has all the most flattering shades in the reds, purples, nudes and pinks which is why I was still able to find the perfect shade of lipstick to match my skirt.
There are a few amazing things about the Buxom Bold Gel Lipsticks that you might not expect! Like how fantastic the lipsticks smell, how the lipsticks are split into two groups - satin and matte, or how the tubes are magnetic and the lid just snaps back on. Each shade is moisturizing as well (especially the satin nude shades) which I really appreciate as it makes it easier to apply when I'm on the go. And when you rub off the lipstick, perhaps to switch lip shades or before a meal, your lips will be left feeling soft and smooth.
