It's finally Halloween and if you're going out tonight, I'm sure you'll all have a blast dancing and partying the night away :) My favorite part about Halloween isn't finding the best costume or going out to the parties, but quite honestly I love seeing how excited my mom gets about becoming the creepiest candy giver in the whole neighborhood. 

She is the most practical of the practical. Favorite TV show: Dr. Oz. Favorite binge food: salad. Wears orthopedic shoes, ONLY. Refuses to go on dates with my dad because it is "a waste of money." But let me tell you, on Halloween she dresses up as an unrecognizable witch and plays loud spooky music/sound effects on her creaky old stereo. She talks in her best crackly voice and slaps the door with a clawed hand really hard when the kiddies ring the doorbell. She even used to chase my sisters and I around if we tried to talk to her. Now how practical is that? :)

As for my look - just a simple sleek style with fall textures and colors :) Teal was a summer color but is also declared for fall 2013 as well. I almost wore a (light) jacket too but it is just seriously so warm still, especially in the sun. My necklace is from a designer in Israel, which I think is pretty awesome and also these patent heels are my new favorites as they remind of me of Snow White's poisonous shiny red apple. Yum.

Black lace is beautiful for fall and winter. It works well during the day with a leather or jean jacket and at night alone. And as you can see, I combined both bold eyes and lips for a more dramatic effect to match the dress :) 

So is everyone ready for Halloween? I already dressed up as flapper for a party I went to this past Saturday, and haven't decided if I'm going out again. I really wanted to be Game of Thrones' Daenerys Targaryen but ran out of time since I think she's best done DIY!

This is a great casual fall look :) In fact these boots allow you to get down and dirty without really getting dirty and the comfort of the rest of the outfit makes this perfect for school, busy moms or even picking out a pumpkin (in my case, tossing carved pumpkins that molded in 4 days uck!). 

This olive vest is one of those frivolous pieces without any practical purpose other than to add an extra element to your look. (It's paper thin so don't expect it to keep you warm!) It really is a perfect fall piece though because it incorporates that military style but also feminine glitter and leopard touches.

Normally I wouldn't pair red, white and black together... but I threw this together minutes before running out the door (which hopefully explains why my shorts are so wrinkled) and decided yes. It works (IMO of course). This is actually a pretty easygoing look that would work for most daily activities in decent weather. Speaking of which, we're really lucky it's staying so warm so long. Even though the mornings and evenings temperatures have dropped substantially, I can still prance around in shorts and semi-sheer shirts during the hours of 12 pm and 5 pm :) *Tip - the key to not having your bra really show through a semi-sheer top like this is to wear a bra of the exact same color as your top!* xoxo

Never heard of a LBP? Me either. It stands for Little Black Playsuit of course :) Or call it a romper if you will. I really love how this playsuit has a sort of major peplum thing going but almost looks like a tiny skirt too. No I'm not peacocking but I am wearing a really fun peacock printed skirt :) I love how it has so many colors, making it ultra easy to match with red, blue, teal, gold, black, green, etc! It is also for this reason that I decided both dark gold and gunmetal jewelry would match well.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I love how the leaves are finally starting change color and the evening weather bites enough that getting in bed gets extra cozy. One of the easiest things to do to in order to give your style a fall twist is to throw on a cute pair of booties and a dark tone sweater. :) Pair it with denim, skirts or even tights + shorts. While it also helps to go with all rich tones like I did, it's not totally necessary!
