Tobi romper, Coach bag, Aldo flats

My favorite time of day to take photos with my Samsung Galaxy S5 is dusk. Face the setting or just-set sun and the lighting is just right. In fact I daresay when it comes to dusk, best to grab the S5 over the DSLR. My boyfriend and I spent all of yesterday driving around Oahu, mostly exploring the North Shore. We hung out at Wailea Beach and did a couple shoots before looking for food. We ended up at Hale'iwa Dock which is where we shot this look right after we watched the beautiful sunset. Unfortunately we didn't have time to see the turtles at Turtle Beach or get any of the famous Matsumoto Shaved Ice but we will next year, we hope!

I love this romper I just got from Tobi! It is made so perfectly and the lace is just the best thing ever, wouldn't you say? It was really a great chic look but still comfy and easy going.

Many of the readers of my blog that I've run into have told me that they thought I lived in San Franicisco! Not so much actually, as I live about an hour away. I do love the city though and have been trying to make a point of seeing the entire bay area and all of it's wonderful tourist attractions, getaways and 5 star eateries. Each mini road trip is an adventure!

And what better way to check out it all out than in a breezy, summer outfit from Abercrombie and Fitch? They have some of the best casual summer dresses. They are light and soft and I love that most of them are nipped at the waist but flair out for a universally flattering look.

Seriously though, the wind was insane here! I had to hold onto my hat for fear of it flying off into the ocean, over 200 feet below me! As crazy as it might be, this really was my first time visiting the Golden Gate Bridge, and I'm so happy I did. It was really fun and the view was so nice! We were lucky to have beautiful weather as well.

Simple is Sweet

Simple is sweet is my motto :) Clean white with dashes of wine, gold and black. Would make a beautiful color scheme for an office don't you think?

I recently stumbled upon MissGuided and am completely blown away by their adorable, perfect little dresses collection that all seem to be perfectly made for the average sized woman (like myself at 5'4"). Sexy, sweet, casual, conservative, trendy, you name it, with 45 pages to choose from, they probably have it.

Quick update about Hawaii: First two days were pouring rain so we went shopping, ate some Yummy food and saw XMEN: Days of Future Past! Seriously my new favorite movie!! Third day (yesterday) the weather finally cleared up and we got to shoot, swim in the ocean and get a bit of a tan. Tried acai bowls for the first time, and they are ah-mazing. I really love our hotel, the Royal Hawaiian, though my boyfriend keeps complaining that the bathroom is too small. :P Plus there was a spider in our room. But the closet is big, I like the bed and the provided bathroom necessities. There is a flat screen TV, the wifi is great and there are a ton of power outlets. What's not to love? Oh yeah and the building is PINK! What's not to love about that?

Sometime last week or the one before my boyfriend and I decided to have a little fun with our brand new PUBLIC bikes at our local park! It was so cute with all the little geese families and my sister grabbed some really great shots of us :) The weather was beautiful too!

Did you know there are different kinds of bikes, depending on what you like to do? Whether it be leisure riding, exercise or sport/stunts, you need to make sure to get the right kind! The bikes we are riding are best for leisure riding and as I'm sure you guys can tell, we definitely had a leisurely time :)

PUBLIC is actually a San Francisco based bicycle and gear company. Their European-inspired bikes are designed to be practical and chic but still entertaining! Each bike has single speed and multi-speed functions and are available in many sizes. They have the cutest helmets (I should have gotten one!) and tons of awesome accessories. It's nice having a bike to just grab for a sweet little ride whenever you feel like having the wind in your hair.

This stunning Faviana dress really swept me away the first time I laid eyes on it, in part because one of my favorite colors has always been royal blue. I love the lace detail around the bottom and the sweetheart neckline. I felt like it was only proper to shoot it in the equally stunning San Francisco City Hall before attending an evening party. The weather was divine, the drive into the city was cake and the tourists were so scarce it felt like the entire 4th floor was reserved. I ended up feeling as royal as this royal blue dress :)

Another look shot with my Samsung Galaxy S5! The quality is just crazy, can you believe these are all taken on my phone? (Perhaps you can on the closer shots) Anyways I decided to go for a fun business sort of look. I mean you could definitely wear this to the office. The yellow touches really add the fun aspect. I had a couple ladies walking by trying to figure out if the yellow part of the shoes were really part of the pants. They ended up really loving the Bebe heels :) (Also I just got a mani + pedi in prep for Hawaii after shooting this look so please don't judge me here! I've been trying to keep my nails polish free to let them breathe.)

When I think of Memorial Day, I think of fun and relaxation. Of course it is a time to honor those who have served our country. It is a day when friends and family get together and have BBQ's while enjoying the (usually) great weather. As a family we used to go camping in the Santa Cruz mountains every Memorial Day weekend. We all grew out of that but it is still nice to get together!
