This is my second to last post we shot in Hawaii. I know it's coming a little late in the season but I'm finally getting through a backlog of photos!
I really love monochrome neutrals for any time of year. So if you're going somewhere tropical (or maybe you live somewhere tropical) I hope this look inspires you :)
I actually felt like a ballerina in this outfit, at least a ballerina that can't do any ballerina tricks! (Except sometimes I can do the splits)... Anyways the weather is still sweltering so I had to get in my peachy/coral skirt while I still can. It is slightly sheer so I wore a slip underneath and also I wish it was a little longer, like midi-length. But it's such a pretty color and I can't wait to wear it again come spring :)
Hi everyone! Today I want to show you how I've been doing my hair this summer. If you don't already know, it is possible to curl your hair with a flat iron! Beachy curls are different from regular curled hair because they are usually unfinished at the ends as though they are windblown. They also have a more texturized look thanks to salt sprays. My instinct is to go with the most obvious color schemes, but I thought it would be fun to mix things up a bit. A sort of burnt orange/tangerine/coral for fall is a fun twist with turquoise (summer love) and can't forget the nude heels!
We had the most random weather the last few days. I mean, it was sunny and way too hot for about three days and then just like that it was cold and overcast with ominous clouds looming over the mountains, ready to rain on us at any moment. So I threw on some appropriately warm stuff even though it is not officially fall YET!! We still have nine days guys, so don't get too excited. But I'm really loving heavy cardigans, fringe, and midi dresses. Paired it with open toe heels since I'm in Cali and that's what we do ;)
Here is a pretty basic look that is super easy to throw together. I found this top at UO the other day - they have it in like five colors! These ripped shorts are also so perfect, I only had to get the waist tailored to be a bit tinier but no problem. I've really been into ripped denim and black or white lately. Especially in my off the blog moments.
I shot this cute, lace romper on Waikiki beach by the Hilton lagoon. It was so bright I could hardly keep my eyes open! You can actually see Diamond Head in the back of the first photo - that is a very popular spot to hike. Speaking of which, I'm working on a post about all my favorite things to do in Hawaii! Can't wait to share it with you :)
