Sheinside owl sweater, DailyLook bag and shorts, Lulus socks, Steve Madden shoes

Well I certainly didn't expect this sweater to be a conversation starter, but seriously --- everyone has something to say about a sparkling gold owl I guess :P

This is just a fun, casual look for a semi-cold day. It's been over a year since I last wore these socks on the blog. My sister that just got back from studying abroad in Europe saw me and said, "Oh my, you're so London!" But anyways it was nice to hold a hot drink in my hand as we shot these, and of course even better to drink it when we were all done. I always get the soy cafe latte in case you guys are wondering. I don't know much about coffee but when my boyfriend and I were in Cancun there was a capuccino maker at one of the excursion parks (Xplor I think - and yes random) and it was simply divine. What is your favorite coffee drink?

As promised, here is another sweater look, along with more sweater looks on the way! I felt like going a bit preppy for this one - so I layered my new Choies sweater over a chiffon blouse (chiffon to not be too stuffy since it was still rather warm outside) and paired it with my favorite denim and brown accents.

By the way, I just got a new Temptu airbrush makeup kit yesterday and I'm really excited to try it out and show you guys!

Sheinside coat and sweater, Romwe skirt, DailyLook sheer tights and bag, Steve Madden heels [similar]

I adore this new coat from Sheinside! My boyfriend makes fun of me though and says I'm a wannabe Macklemore :P The faux fur is so soft and the cut is really cool and dramatic. I am also going to be styling a lot of sweaters for the next few days, so keep watch because pretty much I'll be styling the sweaters in about 5 or 6 different ways!

Also can you tell we are using a different camera? I can! All the colors seem creamier or smoother - odd right? Well I bought the Nikon d90 awhile ago but only recently decided to use it by default since our other camera (d60) is having issues! So far it seems like only benefits and no cons with the new cam but we're still learning :)

Choies sweater, Saboskirt shorts

The fact that you are here reading a post on a style/fashion blog shows that you probably take good care of your appearance on a daily basis :) But I don't just mean nice hair, makeup and clothes either. Looking good starts beneath that - with what you put in your body and how you treat your skin.

Recently Clearasil sent me the new Clearasil Daily Clear Superfruit skin line with 1% salicylic acid (and smells sweet like raspberries) on my chest and neck, because it is sometimes a problem area for me! If you are not familiar with salicylic acid, it is like a tamer version of benzoyl peroxide which tends to dry out skin and possibly even burn a bit. The Refreshing Superfruit Wash is my favorite - but they all work equally well. I have noticed smoother skin almost immediately and have barely even used the products for more than a week!

Maaji swimsuit via Instyle Swimwear, Mujus necklace and bracelet, Abercrombie denim shirt, Emporio Armani sunnies

Here is my last post from Cancun! We took these in the Xcaret Park, my favorite excursion because it was so chill and beautiful. Overall, we didn't have much time to shoot during the entire trip because we did so many excursions (that included water) but hope you enjoyed the photos that we had a chance to grab anyways :)

You can probably tell there were a lot of clouds in the sky because one minute its sunny and the next it is dark. Glad to be back in Cali where the sun is always shining ;)

Maaji swimwear is actually my new favorite swim designer. Their pieces are very unique and there is something about the longer top that really appeals to me. The back of the top I am wearing actually has an adjustable tie back but we forgot to grab a photo, sorry!

Inner-Desire bikini, Ziba Collection necklace, Fossil watch

Cancun was fun and I loved how much food was available, ALL the time (we were at an all-inclusive resort called the Valentin Imperial Maya. In fact I may have gained a pound!! The breakfasts and dinners were my favorite. Custom omelettes and crepes every morning? Japanese, French, Mexican, Italian or Indonesian at night? It doesn't get much better than that!

I wish we had given ourselves a bit more relaxing time than going out for so many excursions but it's okay! Next time ;) The zip lining was great - we loved the bicycle riding and my guy had a blast on the amphibious vehicle. There were also so many cool animals at one park (Xcaret) we visited - manatees, monkeys, panthers, turtles, flamingos and more!

It's so funny how easy it is to get out of the USA but to get back in they make it quite the nightmare. Customs in Houston, Texas took about two hours and I think it was even longer for the non-Americans. We happily made it through with no real problems (like lost luggage, whew!) though.

This is the last look we shot before I went to Cancun - it was cold and sort of dark that/this day and I figured it might be nice to add a little sparkle :) This Abercrombie sweater is interesting because the necklace is attached (I still haven't figured out how to remove it for washing) and not only that but the necklace is just GORGEOUS. The bottom is actually a skort, not a skirt, from 33F Clothing. They are great because they have super fast shipping (especially to the United States) - my package took only two days to arrive!

My guy took these photos and after we got some Panera. I love Panera!!!
