I realized when I threw this skirt on yesterday that this is probably the single most blogged clothing item I've shown you guys in the past three years. It seems to me... I'm a big fan of black skater skirts. This one specifically. Though I would admit that every single time I'm putting it on, I think for a moment, Hm... it's prettyyyy short. Yes even for me ;) Surprised I never wore the same shoes... or much less anything with it twice. Hair up, hair down, it don't mattah. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I personally took a lot of time to just relax and finally clean! Do you notice how messy stuff gets when you are busy out of your mind?
How do you like this earth toned fall look? I got these brand new Vince Camuto boots at Kitsch Couture in downtown Los Gatos. Kitsch Couture is the most amazing boutique full of dreamy boho chic items, with labels like Wild Fox, For Love and Lemons, Reverse and Free People. And of course you guys can probably tell how crazy I am over long coats this season. I am really building up my winter collection so what can I say! I am finally happy it's cooled down which is unusual for me :)

Cooking at Home with Blue Apron

Recently I've been trying to figure out how I can get back into cooking. Before I started a blog I actually cooked all the time! One of the hardest parts for me is picking something to make and getting myself to the grocery store. Blue Apron solves this problem for me! Plus they are so affordable at only $9.99 a person/meal!
Here are three recipes I received for the week. Each dish I create is likely to last at least two days because serving sizes are pretty big.
Basically Blue Apron allows you to create delicious, chef-designed recipes at home by delivering all the farm-fresh ingredients you need, right to your doorstep, in exactly the right proportions! So that means no waste! And all the packaging is recyclable which is just amazing.
I decided to make the Crispy Salmon & Barley-Fennel "Risotto" with Fresh Herb and Walnut Salad.

You get three meals a week and can choose between two or four people's worth of servings. Shipping is free. I actually wasn't home for a few hours before I had a chance to take all of the food out of the boxes and they were packed so incredibly well - with refrigerated material and ice packs - that I had no qualms the steak, chicken and salmon had "been sitting out."

The dish turned out amazing! It was surprisingly rich and had great flavor. Blue Apron calls this "Fine Dining" :)
My favorite part about Blue Apron is all the new ingredients they introduced me to. I had never tried barley (crazy?!), fennel, tarragon nor sun chokes. I've never cooked with bamboo or Brussels sprouts either. Their recipes are also really healthy, which is always good of course! The main time sucker was from cutting all the veggies. But if you can get someone to help you, that's always great ;)

A few weeks ago I had the chance to visit Longchamp in downtown San Francisco and design a custom Le Pliage Heritage bag as part of their 20 year birthday! If you guys follow me on Instagram you may have seen this post! While Longchamp was founded in 1948, they created the Le Pliage line in 1993. Since then they have been exceptionally successful and sold over 32 million bags!
When customizing your bag, aside from the size, you have the option to choose a color for the strap, handles/flap, outside color, inner color, and tabs! So you can really go crazy if you want! And in retrospect, I think I should have gone with a hot pink inner lining for a fun little kick! JKR are my initials (yes the same as J. K. Rowling!), and I could have gotten them perforated for an even more unique look. As it is, I think purple and black are pretty unusual colors for a bag already. I chose them anyways because the combination of purple and black is both sporty and perfect for winter! I picked the largest version since it looked just right for traveling and I really need a new carry on bag.
Upon styling, I decided to go with olive, which is one of the best colors to complement purple! And as you all can see I have styled these boots for the 5th time in less than a month. Oh dear...
