New dress - Queen's Wardrobe, blazer - Express, shoes - Steve Madden, bracelet - sister, ring - Aldo
All week I have literally been dying for sunlight to poke out through the dense gloomy clouds and rain. And poke out it did... for a brief moment around noon. Yay! And well, I know this outfit is a bit matchy-matchy, but I think you can tell I don't often go wild with my outfits. I like simple, clean, classy and chic looks, and I think this one fits the bill :)
I actually bought this short sleeved blazer with a peplum like style and shoulder pads for my college advertising final presentation the spring of 2010. I needed a power suit and wore it with black slacks, a white blouse, red nails and BCBG pumps that I bought just for the special day. I felt amazing and delivered the best presentation of my life to over 200 people. Really, a presentation is about everything-- not just what you say and how you say it, but how you look really counts. Wear something that makes you feel proud and confident so you can deliver to the best of your ability. ❤

I totally agree about outfit lending confidence during presentation. It helps a lot! I generally like to look nice wherever I go – not that I feel self-conscious without nicer clothes on, but it just makes me feel good overall to think I look good. You rock the sequins! I love sequins myself but don't know if I have the nerve to wear a sequin dress (not that I even have one... yet) out during the day time, lol.

I was JUST in San Francisco but it wasn't as bright and beautiful as your photos, lol It was a little gloomy and sprinkled very lightly twice. But definitely not much sun! Maybe we just got unlucky! I was so excited cos everyone from the bay had beautiful sunny photos!
Also I totally agree about the dressing for confidence. It really helps! If you dress to impress and are comfortable it just takes one less weight off your shoulders. "Are they staring at my outfit? My top looks dumb..?" NOPE! They're busy listening to you and not silently judging your outfit, hahaha! Well, maybe they are saying things like "Damn, I wish I had those shoes" :P
