Hey guys! Today's post is all about Bombay Hair extensions! It is a sponsored post but all opinions are mine, as always!
I of course already have long hair, (desperately in need of a hair cut) but what you might not be able to tell is that it is very thin. I have the thinnest hair among myself and my three sisters and it is quite unfair. (There are worse things, I know!) Last time my hair was short, about six years ago, I did try weave-in extensions. My boyfriend hated it because he couldn't run his fingers through my hair without catching on something. Although I felt like I looked like a million bucks, I too wasn't all that fond of the weave-in because it was hard to wash and got...dandruffy. I can tell you right now that clip in extensions are way better because you can put them in for as long or as short as you like.
The particular set I have here is the 160 gram 20 inch in Dark Brown. It comes in 10 pieces, one 8" weft, one 7", two 6", two 4" and four 1.5" inside of a beautiful box, like the one you saw in the first photo. The hair is thick from the root to the tip. Each weft has a few evenly spaced clips. To open a clip you press down on both ends of the clips with your thumbs. To close a clip you press down on the center.
You can see by the close ups that the hair is really shiny and has beautiful undertones. It is real hair and you can style it with hot tools. It holds a good curl much longer than my own hair... up to 24 hours... whereas mine might hold for 1 hour :( It doesn't match my hair perfectly but it does blend well enough that no one has noticed. You can actually send in a photo of your hair in natural light for a professional color match. I did try that but my hair is a tricky color... I think only hapa's have it.
You can go on YouTube and find a million gazillion videos on how to put in clip-in hair extensions, but basically you make a few parts (starting at the bottom) and one by one, clip in the hair. Wiggle it a bit and clip. Try to clip them in a straight line and don't go too high up or else it will show. It also helps to have a mirror in front and behind you.
BEFORE
AFTER
I left the extensions slightly curled simply for the sake of allowing you guys to see a difference! :) There are some MUCH better before's and after's which you can see here, but I have to say that even if it isn't a huge difference, it's enough to fill in all the gaps, thus making me feel much more confident about my hair.
I have actually been wearing them for the last few weeks, (mostly on days I know we will shoot a look) and I really love it! It might be annoying at first because it does weigh down your head a little, but you do get used to it plus it's good to try around with different amounts of hair. In fact I realized I only need the three biggest wefts, but if I had shorter hair I would probably need more. I haven't washed them yet but will need to soon.
All in all I have to say Bombay Hair was a wonderful discovery and I fully recommend them to anyone in need of some quality hair extensions. They also have live chat customer service and 24 hour email response time. You can also get $10 off your extensions with code HAPATIME and 30% off the Bombay Hair hot tools with code HAPA30 :)

I can't imagine all the work and expense involved with extensions!! My hair has gotten more fine - and more difficult to style - over the years...so I simply had it totally chopped off!! I LOVE the way it looks now; and my husband is happy that it doesn't take me all that extra time to get ready every morning!!

Omg!!! I REALLLY want these! I've been saving up for extensions since my hair has gotten extremely thin!
Your hair is gorgeous <3 I actually like short hair though, but my hair is extremely thick so I usually grow it out and it allows it to elongate and balance out. Great giveaway!! <3 :) xx
