CARMEL & BIG SUR: PHOTO DIARY
Friday, December 11, 2015
Today I wanted to take you along my mini getaway I took this past weekend along the beautiful California coast. We stayed a few nights at Carmel Valley Ranch, stopped by McWay Falls, Bixby Bridge and got lunch at Ventana Inn. I love that we don't have to go too far to see such amazing places. If you are visiting California, or just looking for a getaway from the Bay Area, I highly recommend this trip!
If you can believe it, the below photos were taken with my brand new HTC One A9. I use both my DSLR and phone to take pictures, so it's definitely important to have a phone with a great camera. Whenever I'm traveling, then I prefer to take pictures with my phone since it's much easier to post quickly while on the go. And if you're in tune with camera settings, you also have the ability to shoot Raw in the Pro option which is super cool as you can adjust ISO, white balance, contrast, etc all while keeping the extensive picture data for later editing.
You can check out a short description of what you are seeing under each photo!
Enjoy!

Selfie in my favorite Prada sunnies.
One of my favorite meals! Burgers and pizza of course. Lunch at the Carmel Valley Ranch "Valley Kitchen."
Standing behind the Bixby Bridge, a fairly secret spot.
The famous Bixby Bridge.
The pool area at Carmel Valley Ranch.
Carmel Valley Ranch horses.
Hanging out with this one.
The gorgeous McWay Falls cove.
Instead of turning to the left to take a photo of Bixby Bridge, turn to the right for this stunning view.
Stopped by Ventana Inn for the most exquisite meal. The service was outstanding, the view immaculate and the outside patio adorable.
Carmel Valley Ranch vineyards.
Shooting the McWay Falls with my HTC One A9 (taken with a DSLR).
The stunning sunset we caught on our way home.
