I adore this new coat from Sheinside! My boyfriend makes fun of me though and says I'm a wannabe Macklemore :P The faux fur is so soft and the cut is really cool and dramatic. I am also going to be styling a lot of sweaters for the next few days, so keep watch because pretty much I'll be styling the sweaters in about 5 or 6 different ways!
Also can you tell we are using a different camera? I can! All the colors seem creamier or smoother - odd right? Well I bought the Nikon d90 awhile ago but only recently decided to use it by default since our other camera (d60) is having issues! So far it seems like only benefits and no cons with the new cam but we're still learning :)

I think your jacket has a bit of a "steampunk" feel to it; kind of Victorian, with that gorgeous furry collar, and edgy because of the zipper details!! well, did you also have a change of lens with the new camera? Also, both cameras may actually be equal, you may be (unknowingly) using different settings. Anyway, the lens does make a big difference. It you put a camera on portrait mode, it does try to make pictures that have better complexions. If you put your camera on Auto, it may automatically select the portrait mode. If your new lens has a bigger f-stop (smaller number) it will fuzz things a bit.

@Jess ( I guess this is how to reply, huh? okay) So, I would suggest then, photographing the exact same scene with both bodies. Use the same lens, same aperture (f-stop), same shutter speed, same ISO, same white balance. All that being the same, your pictures should be equally crisp. If your new one is visibly creamy - return it, they should at least clean it for you, then you should retest it. If your cameras create RAW image files, do your comparison on that. If your old camera produces the creamier photo, that is somewhat expected, have it cleaned.
"creative style" is available even though you are in aperture priority mode, make sure you are in "standard" for both cameras for the test. (the creamier photo could come from "portrait" creative style)
lastly, cameras are designed to produce a picture as true to life as possible, if you want creamy, you can screw filters to the front of the lens, such as Diffuser, Portrait, sport focus. Special effects filters. Nowadays, it mostly done using computer software.
