Lately I've realized my outfits are composed of basically two elements: old favorites that I bought ages and ages ago when I barely first started to make an income (like this skirt and scarf), and completely fresh items like this sweater and ring. Unfortunately, the sweater and ring may be brand new (as of last week) but they are not available because I purchased them on HauteLook! If you haven't heard about HauteLook, let me tell you - it is kind of exciting! Basically you get designer brands for hugely discounted prices, and while it is members only (free though), the deals go quick. Owned by Nordstrom, they have what are called "sale events," each starting at 8 am Pacific and ending just one or two days later around the same time. They have everything you need, like womens and mens apparel, accessories, and shoes, but also kids stuff, beauty and home decor. Some of my currently available favorites are this Inhabit cashmere cardigan, studded Hayden and Harnett bag, Rachel Zoe black booties, a crystal ball necklace and classic diamond earrings! A lovely "wintery" look (with the fair isle print of your skirt and the ivory sweater and scarf)...but still suitable for your milder California temperatures!! And now that our cold snap appears to be over in Vancouver, a look that could work here, as well (but I might need to add an umbrella!!)
