Last night I had so much fun at the EXPRESS grand shopping event!! Hundreds of people showed up and I got to meet so many of my followers, Brooklyn Decker, the president of Express and I even stumbled upon some free dropbox space (super crazy - thanks to Amy and Ryan!!). The music was energizing and the hors de 'oeuvres looked delicious. (I sadly never had a single chance to try them as I was too busy socializing for 3 hours... in fact I even started to lose my voice!) Anyways if you didn't have a chance to make it out, you should definitely stop by during your next visit to Union Square. It was 3 stories, with the most modern and stunning design I have seen in any EXPRESS store before!
As for my look here, I thought it would be a nice little twist to throw this super elegant and feminine top + gold necklace with a simple but edgy skirt (edgy because of the zippers and the casual material). These two alone would have felt unbalanced but add gold and black accessories to tie it all together and I think it works :)

I would style it with a simple sheath dress in a muted neutral color. I guess I veer on the side of safety when it comes to such things. I can't imagine myself wearing too dynamic of an outfit, otherwise I feel like I stick out TOO much!
